ROAR is a multi-award-winning Glasgow hair salon group, founded in 2017 by Brian Leo McCallum, with salons in Strathbungo, Giffnock and Muirend.

We created ROAR around a simple belief: exceptional hair and an exceptional guest experience should always go together.

Our team specialises in hair colour, balayage, blonding, colour correction, cutting, styling and healthy hair, but technical expertise is only part of what makes ROAR different.

Brian Leo McCallum, known to his guests as Leo, is the Founder, Salon Director and Creative Director of ROAR Hair & Beauty in Glasgow. With over 24 years of experience and a true passion for colour, Leo loves helping guests look and feel fantastic and believes great hair should always feel completely personal to you.

Specialising in colour correction, blonding and bespoke hair colour, Leo combines expert colour knowledge with individually tailored cutting and a strong focus on maintaining beautiful, healthy hair. From a subtle change to a complete colour transformation, every appointment starts with listening, understanding your hair and creating a plan designed around you, your lifestyle and your hair goals.

As a Senior Educator for KAO UK & Ireland and an award-winning colour specialist, Leo has spent years sharing his knowledge with hairdressers across the industry through education, seminars, stage work and creative events. Career highlights have included styling hair backstage at London Fashion Week, television projects, celebrity hair and working alongside some of the best-known names in the hair and fashion industries.

Leo’s expertise in hair colour has been recognised through numerous national and international awards, including being named Colourist of the Year at the 2026 SHABA Awards and UK Colour Expert at the 2026 Hair Magazine Awards.

As the Founder and Creative Director of ROAR, Leo believes world-class hair should always come with genuinely human care.
