ROAR is a multi-award-winning Glasgow hair salon group, founded in 2017 by Brian Leo McCallum, with salons in Strathbungo, Giffnock and Muirend.

We created ROAR around a simple belief: exceptional hair and an exceptional guest experience should always go together.

Our team specialises in hair colour, balayage, blonding, colour correction, cutting, styling and healthy hair, but technical expertise is only part of what makes ROAR different.

Gavin is a Senior Art Director and Goldwell Master Colourist at ROAR Hair & Beauty in Glasgow, working across our Giffnock and Strathbungo salons. With over 11 years in the hair industry and training at Saks Academy, Gavin has a real passion for creating beautiful, bespoke colour while keeping hair health and long-term results at the heart of every appointment.

Known for his love of natural, sustainable hair, Gavin creates modern, wearable colour that feels effortless and completely personal to each guest. Whether you’re looking for a subtle colour refresh, beautifully natural results, or expert advice on improving the condition of your hair, Gavin takes the time to understand your hair, lifestyle, and goals before creating a look tailored to you.

As a Goldwell Master Colourist and UK Kerasilk Specialist & Educator, Gavin combines advanced colour knowledge with a passion for healthy hair and professional home care. He loves sharing his expertise with both guests and fellow hairdressers, helping people understand not just what their hair needs, but why.

Gavin’s creativity also takes him beyond the salon. He regularly styles hair backstage at London and Paris Fashion Week, bringing fresh ideas, techniques, and inspiration back to his guests and the Pride at ROAR.

His expertise and guest care have been recognised with a number of awards and industry accolades, including:
